The Stone Roses / Happy Mondays scene of 1989 was broken wide open when John unleashed "Free Your Mind and Your Ass Will Follow" by the mighty Funkadelic on an unsuspecting audience in the Sixth Form Common Room in the dark days of late 1989. Rallying immediately to the call, Andy, Tom and Martin joined with John to form MauveLaBiche and a legend was born.
Releasing 4 cds in the first 4 years of the band's life, the band developed a loyal fanbase.
Since 1992 the band has sporadically worked as a duo, with Andy and John using the MauveLaBiche name as an umbrella for a variety of different projects.
